Conflux 1.5 FAQ


Technical questions:

  • Q: I use SSL encryption on my Conflux server and cannot download files from the Documents module using Internet Explorer. What is wrong?

    A: Clear the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" option, which you can find by starting Internet Explorer, selecting "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu and clicking on the "Advanced Internet Options" tab. The option you are looking for is located in the "Security" section.

  • What are the software requirements for Conflux Professional?

    Conflux Professional is designed to run on Linux, BSD and Solaris operating systems.

    The full requirements are:
    • Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD or MS Windows operating system
    • Apache2 web server software
    • mod_python 3.0, 3.1 or 3.2 module
    • Python 2.3 or 2.4
    • PostgreSQL 7.3, 7.4, 8.0 or 8.1 database engine

  • Does Conflux Professional require extensive training?

    No, our software is designed to be as intuitive and easy to use as possible, while retaining a powerful set of functionality. It is our belief that an average user can tap into the power of Conflux in one or two days with very little guidance needed.

  • Does Conflux support any other database engines besides PostgreSQL?

    A version of Conflux Professional running on Oracle is currently under development. Other databases will be evaluated based on customer demand.
  • Can Conflux Professional run on Microsoft Windows operating systems?

    Yes it can. Conflux currently supports Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris x86 operating systems. Custom implementations have been used on Mac OS X, IBM zSeries mainframe and so on.
  • Can Conflux Professional be customized to my (my clients') needs?

    Yes. Inversion Software offers custom developments based on customer needs. Please contact our sales department for further details.
